A simple fashion design that is versatile and attractive is the circle. The circle can be used to create skirts, dresses, collars, and cuffs, just to name a few.
This video demonstrates the making of a half circle skirt. Once you have calculated the radius and gathered all your tools, watch the video and make your own half circle skirt! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
CALCULATE THE RADIUS
To construct a circle for your garment, you need to calculate the radius. This is so that you know how big to make the circle so that it fits the waist for a skirt, for example, or the neck for a cape.
To calculate the radius, take the measurement in question and divide by 6.28.
For example:
waistline = 70 cm
radius = 70 / 6.28 = 11.1 cm
TOOLS USED IN THE VIDEO
